Ah wait, I solved it. Finally journalctl said something, and the culprit was: the input label says "server", whereas it actually expects a URL. That's way it hanged.
Needless to say, it's not smart from the KDE not to put an error message.
Any news about this? I saw @sunnyflunk packaged the latest KDE apps.

I wonder the same: aren't packages in system.base implicit?

Not really. In its doc, ddcutil says it needs i2c-tools to both build and run, but I suspect that's an old statement since I've been able to change my screen brightness without touching that package.
With that said, I've already packages i2c-tools so I'll take care of it.
A living version of i2c-tools can be found here: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/utils/i2c-tools/i2c-tools.git

or take the built .eopkg file and artificially downgrade the deps :P
Add USB support
ddcutil has support for monitors that implement the Monitor Control Command Set (MCCS) over USB. The support is considered initial in that it has only been tested with only a few models of USB connected monitors.
Do you want to USB support too?
- i2c commucation doesn't work with the amdgpu driver. Had to switch to radeon to test ddcutil
- is pkgconfig(x11) needed? There's already pkgconfig(xrandr)
You mean after a fresh installation? Of course this is still not working: ISOs haven't been updated yet (Solus 4 is not out yet).

I've shown Firefox as a pure example, since for a webpage I can provide a meaningful comparison between browsers.
Here's Software Center

You bash ninja!
Personally I wouldn't put swlist into "docs and manual", but in "data" category, as I think it's read by mame to tell you whether a ROM is well supported. I didn't check it though. Let's keep it as you intended, it's not important at all.
It's with great emotion that I can say for the first time: LGTM! :D

It's OK for me, except that we should specify to use Python3 as per this line, because by default it's using python2.
One day I should take the time to benchmark LTO and OpenMP enablements.

Plasma allows to select what emojis to use (only in Qt apps, I believe).
Anyways yeah, this is the EmojiOne EULA, while Twemojis is licensed with MIT + CC.

Well, all the issues I had seem to be gone since Linux 4.17.

You beat me, I was packaging this too.
A couple of notes:
- GPL license should be GPL-2.0-or-later, BSD is untouched.
- these dependencies are enough:
- pkgconfig(Qt5Core) - pkgconfig(Qt5Help) - pkgconfig(Qt5Script)
pkgconfig(glesv2) is probably an old dependency
- my download url is https://downloads.sourceforge.net/smplayer/smplayer-18.6.0.tar.bz2, but I doubt this will make any difference 😉

No problem @kyrios123. Actually, I haven't notified anyone of this, because Josh (more or less officially) nominated me as the mame mantainer last year :) but go on! I won't get offended.
You beat me! I was actually waiting for the June release to update mame.
About the changelog, I think this would be more readable. What do you say?

SDDM doesn't use user preferences...how would it determine which user's settings to use? Or have permissions to read them.
Good point. kscreenlocker and sddm have the same UI. That misled me.

I've just... fixed a typo. But OK.

Aaah here it is: the famous log!
Still nope after 5.13.1. Now with a fancy loading icon™
Isn't this solved?

Let's set msbuild output to diagnostic and see if we get some useful error message.
Let's troubleshoot that build error... hopefully.

Update patch; avoid make to build the package
Tue, Jun 19
I've tried to package msbuild from Microsoft's code to no avail, with any of the versions starting from last october.
Speaking of mono's fork, Microsoft itself advise to build or download msbuild from mono. I think it's you either accept this fact, or I just give up on this. Even if a successful build could came out from Microsoft's repository, it would probably require tons of patches (the patches I believe mono wrote).
Jun 18 2018
Alright, I'll get to work.
I will recheck, but I repeat, that .NET core environment should be a dep of the prebuilt msbuild and it won't be included/necessary once the mono-dependent msbuild has been compiled. I didn't install any .NET archive yet the msbuild worked fine. Seriously, I will recheck.

Not fixed yet: "Next" button is greyed out in every possible situation. What's fun is, if I type my server IP then the return key won't work, but if I type my server hostname then the key will work.
After they keyboard input, it will take a lot of time to tell me my certificate is not trusted, forever (literally. It will never complete) to complete all the login wizard.
Also, http.so takes plenty of CPU time during the process.
Yeah, the older radeon driver works. Shame.
I've tried lightdm with Budgie and sddm with Plasma (I've installed the Plasma ISO).
Ok, let's test the new variables (it's sad to go back to the radeon driver... I hope Solus will get kernel 4.17 soon since it finally sports amdgpu for older cards like mine).
Jun 16 2018
Damn! I was trying to read it on the top of the page. I'm so sorry. I'll get some coffee :(
Why did you submit a patch? It hasn't been accepted for inclusion.
Jun 15 2018
Seriously guys, I can't use my PC in this situation...
Are you sure you installed virtualbox-current if you you're running linux-current?

To be honest I feel a bit of hostility against this package.
Can you tell me why it doesn't build? What's the error you get? I did not make anything special to build it. Just make. No local packages used either.

Build log: https://hastebin.com/covuzexere.bash
I guess you're requiring me to switch to the unstable channel, right?
I've installed both kaccounts-providers and integration. I expected to see owncloud/nextcloud at least, that's what I needed.
Jun 11 2018
In my opinion, @sunnyflunk, we should remove the patch. It's OK to say kdsu is inconsistent, but with polkit partitionmanager won't use user's theme, that is more annoying than having an incosistent security window you probably don't look at while typing.
I'm not sure about the license...
Jun 10 2018
Easy answer: msbuild, to be built, requires a pre-build binary of itself, provided by Microsoft in this case, which is built again .NET framwork, which is in turn built against a bunch of libraries, depending on the distro. Here I chose to simulate a Ubuntu environment. Don't worry, these Ubuntu libs are needed just to run the pre-built msbuild binary, they won't be necessary to run the final executable.

Also, Firefox detects DejaVu as the default font, which is clearly not, it's Noto Sans.
@sunnyflunk could you add the "minimize all apps" widget to right corner of the panel and/or add a global keyboard shortcut do do the same? I know there's CTRL+F12 but that's not "minimizing", it's a "show temporarily the desktop" feature which is the macOS behavior. I'd prefer the Windows behavior. Windows minimizes all apps with META+D, it's pretty handy imho.
I confirm that unplugging the cable solves the problem. Weird.
I have this very issue with my desktop computer but with Ethernet connectivity. I'll try to unplug the cable as a test, to see if something changes.
I've burnt the latest Plasma ISO with Etcher on a 4GB thumb drive.

This is not much related to the Diff provided but... your screenshot looks beautiful. Congrats!
I think what you request is too much work for an imminent (?) release. Perhaps this should go in the list of features Solus shall have (cant' recall the Task name, sorry).
Jun 5 2018
I can't really say much because my experience in such topic is extremely limited, but I want to make my 2 cents worth something: I agree that often packages await for inclusion for a long time, even if the diff isn't that "deep" (like for a minor release). Revision process should be speeded up.
Oops: fix GPL license for good
Fix GPL license
TBH I deducted the license from here.
