package.yml cleanup. Also update pspec file to include two missing licenses
Downloadable ROMS from mamedev.org are working (tested some of them), BUT, I'm no familiar with this piece of software. I please someone familiar with it to test it in every aspect, it's a pretty huge program.
Now mame is working!

Add forgotten abireports
Do note that I noticed there's a "licenses" directory in /usr/share/dbeaver. If not needed, I can edit this patch to nuke it.
Disabled static linking; Updated to 1.9.0

'cause it's typical to me to request a feature before checking if it already exists -.-

No, I haven't this problem anymore.
R9 290 here, using amdgpu. No problem whatsoever.
Oops, I forgot about this task. It seems to be resolved with the latest gstreamer update, I'll report you more precisely later.
Oct 16 2017
@sunnyflunk I saw you updated powerdevil. Any news about this task?
Oct 11 2017
My CPU is AVX "1" only. Does current glib already support AVX instructions?

Add data files to /usr/share/mame
Sep 28 2017
I think nobody's working on it. I'd do it myself but I don't know how to split the Eclipse packages, the eclipse-common in particular.
Sep 24 2017
replace pkgconfig(mono-2) with pkgconfig(mono)
@kyrios123 sorry for pinging you, but you're the most active packager.
So, mame executable, by default, looks into its directory for roms, config etc, UNLESS you specify different path as arguments. You can then save those argument in an .ini file so that you specify those paths only once.
Arch Linux approach is to save mame executable inside /usr/share/mame, among other needed files, and to put a script in /usr/bin. This script will set the aforementioned paths if it's the first time you run it, otherwise it will just launch mame (script is here).
Is it a viable solution for Solus? I know it's not... "standard", but it works.
Sep 23 2017
I'm curious, no complaining involved: why to have it packaged instead of installing it via pip3?
Sep 21 2017
@Justin can you help me to set proper directory paths?
Mame is working, man too.
Now mame compiles correctly. Installation phase is yet to complete
Already looked at it.
Probably I'll use Arch code for install phase, but the rest is non-optimal for Solus, like, Arch is using bundled deps, which we don't want to.
Anyway the culprit is CFLAGS. I tested some stripped down LDFLAGS and CFLAGS toghether, and the executable is about 200MB. Then I reset LDFLAGS to default, keeping the stripped down CFLAGS, same size. Hence, there's something in CFLAGS that causes a bloated mame64 file.

I don't see where the problem is since the whole Phabricator needs this kind of moderation but anyway, sorry for that.
Sep 19 2017
No, wait. Do you mean ddcutil is unreliable? why isn't it recommended?
Anyway I appreciate that an independent program is being considered by KDE.

Fix diff format #2
Fix diff format.
Sep 17 2017
Update summary to reflect recent changes
Filter out optimization level from Solus' CFLAGS
Use clang instead of GCC. Much less RAM needed to compile
Sep 16 2017
Fix summary grammar and meaning...
Contributions to D1016 are very appreciated :)

If you allow me to, I can package mame with bundled Lua to temporary fix that.
Any plan to fix Samba within this release?
Sep 12 2017
Updated title and description
Updated to version 4.2.0
Sep 11 2017
DBeaver 4.2.0 is out. Should I wait for this patch to be included first?
Sep 10 2017
It's me again. This package is a no-go with current Lua version. Definitely.
Forget my previous message: I managed to go past that error with luajit.
Let me know: when you let a patch idle it's because you forgot about it or you're busy? 😜
I'm joking, but still the current Picard version is really old and an update is ready here.
Sep 9 2017
As an Italian (but I'm using Solus in en_us), "device" makes me think of a cellphone/smartphone, I don't know how it seems in other languages. "Computer" is much more indicated. Just my two cents.
Sep 8 2017
I'm building this package. Unfortunately it requires a Lua function, luaopen_bit32 which seems to be available only from Lua 5.2 (check yourself here). Solus currently ships 5.1.5. I'm gonna update Lua first if I can.
To be more precise, sol needs that function, not mame itself. Sol is a library mame uses.

2/3 seconds?! No in my case we're talking about milliseconds.
I want you to notice this is an invalid patch for an already included package. I erroneously created it a while ago. You can close it if you want.
Sep 6 2017
I'm commenting so that you know this package is required by a bunch of people. I own a Logitech G502 mouse that awaits to be configured on Linux!
Fixed colon alignment
we removed the inclusion of plugins: they're not shipped anymore since you can easily download them via Options window
Is this true and tested? Cause this is the reason I haven't updated the package, dropping the plugins is a bit of a regression.
Fixed diff for package.yml and added macros instead of hard coded commands
Sep 5 2017
I don't know why old release number is 2 instead of (correctly) 3, anyway 4 is OK as a new release number.
Sep 3 2017
Any news on that?
Sep 1 2017
If it's not accepted for inclusion, then no one will package it.
Aug 29 2017
Really? It's disabled?! I'm following. I can't use GPU passthrough currently because my i7-2600K doesn't support it, but it's something I'm very interested in, as you, in the near future.
EDIT: Yes, it's disabled in linux-current too unfortunately...
Aug 26 2017
I can try to package it myself if accepted.
Personally I have a single entry for Draw. You could check your home directory to ensure a .desktop file is in there too.

That's black magic. With newest kernel it's fixed. My disk is sleeping as a baby.
Too bad I posted before update was out.
fabio@phoenix-linux ~ $ uname -ar Linux phoenix-linux 4.12.7-11.current #1 SMP Sun Aug 13 11:33:35 UTC 2017 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Same problem, with Solus 3.
On Windows it works perfectly. It also offers an optional encrypted 'database' to prevent any unwanted leak.

I installed from source, then removed. Compiled meld .eopkg package myself, then remove. Cleared eopkg cache. Installed meld again via repository. The error is gone. I have not a single clue about what fixed the bug.
By experience, if you're lucky you can reflash your router via the tftp server embedded in u-boot bootloader. You don't even need serial and stuff, only an ethernet cable and some static IP configuration.
This procedure is for the router of mine, but it's worth trying.
Nevermind, you can always let this patch idle until it's accepted :)
Be aware that there are some libtool warning. I'm pretty sure they are harmless, but I'm informing you anyway. You're the experts.
Aug 7 2017
Arch Linux allow users to install different version of GCC at time, that's the trick. Check depends here.
I agree with @ferike1, Chromium should be included to follow Free Software movement. IMHO Chrome is not an alternative, even if it's based on Chromium.

Thanks to you! I'm a really distracted guy 😝
