Dymo Drivers for LabelWriter Printers
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Solus doesn't recognize Dymo LabelWriter 450 Turbo when connected. Would like to see Dymo drivers available to allow for use of certain Dymo LabelWriter printers. This would make programs such as glabels much more useful since it already has Dymo label support.

Anyone who uses Dymo LabelWriter printers, especially for business, would benefit.

Open source drivers are available through Dymo here: http://download.dymo.com/Software/Linux/dymo-cups-drivers-1.4.0.tar.gz

@der_eismann I removed your patch submission on this task. This is a package request, patch submissions should go on a separate task, as stated in our documentation, and should only be added after something has been accepted for inclusion.

I tried to file a package request above and thought I did, but unfortunately I am very new to all this and it's quite confusing to me. Could you help me out on this? The idea is that I would like to use my Dymo printer on Solus as you can on other Linux distros. It would be a huge help to people who print labels and ship packages.

I can't even figure out how to make a comment here....

You just make a comment and hit the blue bottom, you don't need to change anything else. Click Edit Task in top right of the sidepane to edit the details of the task.

If nobody else is going to do it...

Is this okay @JoshStrobl? Maybe we can work to include it for T4258.
